Over the next few months, we will be listing useful links to resources and organisations on the back page of our newsletter. Listing them here too means that you can always find them.
In addition to the resources found here, all carers living in Warwickshire and Coventry are recommended to go to Care Companion. This is part of the support package offered by both councils. This website is an online support tool for carers consisting of a carefully curated resources library, an address book so that all your contacts are in one place, a diary and a mood monitor so that you can keep track of how you feel.
Care Companion has been designed by a team of researchers from Warwick Medical School at Warwick University, working with a panel of experienced carers who have advised on design and content. Carers are invited to register to use the site and, as a result of completing a profile with details of the condition/s of the person they care for, all resources will be personalised to them. While it is possible to look at the site without registering, it is only by registering that the site will provide the most effective support. You can be assured that any information you provide on the site will be safe.
